Volunteers
The Hamlet Swim Team - aka the "Green Feet" - is a completely volunteer-run organization that cannot exist without parental involvement. Every family is expected to participate. If you have a swimmer you must volunteer. There are volunteer roles that can be fulfilled during the week, during practices, only online, or only at swim events. There is a position you can do. Please reach out to the team reps if you have any questions.
All families are expected to have one family member volunteer at every meet in which they have a swimmer(s).
If you cannot volunteer at a meet in which your child is swimming, please contact the team rep to discuss.
Thank you in advance for your support of the Green Feet!

Positions where training is needed:
PLEASE REACH OUT TO THE TEAM REPS IF YOU CAN HELP. WE NEED THESE ROLES FILLED TO KEEP THE SEASON RUNNING SMOOTHLY.
Stroke & Turn Officials, Relay Take-off Judges - NVSL training is provided with multiple dates to choose from. Must be NVSL trained. Multiple people are needed for every meet. You do not need to do every meet. If we have multiple people trained it will be a lighter lift.
Starter, Judge and Refs: These are advanced positions we are lucky to have filled currently, but we always need to be planning. If you are at all interested, please let us know.
Pancake Breakfast Coordinator: Help buy, plan and coordinate the Friday morning breakfasts.
Team Reps: We need A & B Meet reps to keep this ship afloat. Learning a season or two prior to doing this job is very helpful. If everyone takes a turn as a training rep, main rep, and teaching rep it will make the next few years more stable and a lighter load. Please reach out to the current team reps if you are interested.
Winter Team Rep: Organizing and planning for winter swim. If you have a young team member this is a great role with little lift. You will have to be on deck for them either way.
Grill Master: Buying, preparing and organizing all things grill. Job is currently filled, but if you are interested in learning the ropes let us know.
Master of Ceremonies: Announcing swimmer and events. This is a position that would benefit from a few seasons of training. Please let me know if you are interested.
Head Clerk of Course: Someone who had done clerk of course previously who is familiar with the process who can help train at B meets and be present for A meets this season. If you can’t come to B meets, if you would hold a session or two to help train a few volunteers this would be helpful. This position makes the difference in a slow vs. fast meet.
