Parking:

The visiting team will have the entire lower lot of the pool available for parking (Parking lot to the left as you pull in). Additional parking is available at Spring Hill Elementary School if necessary (8201 Lewinsville Rd, McLean, VA 22102). See the map at the bottom of the page for more information.

Pool Layout:

25m start end is the side attached to the diving well, the 50m start side is attached to the shallow end of the pool (see illustration below).

Spectators:

There will be two spectator areas during meets. One is by the shallow end, and the other is behind the 25m start end of the pool. Each is open to both Home and Visiting teams.

Team Area:

The visiting team will have a large grass area perpendicular to the 25m start end, with plenty of area for tents and for swimmers to place their belongings.

Clerk of Course:

Swimmers should report to the Clerk of Course behind the diving well approximately 5 events before they swim. (i.e, Boys 13-14 should go over during Girls 8&Under of the same stroke).

Concessions:

We have both a grill and a snack bar being operated during meets. Both are located by the entrance gate and take Card and Cash.

Data & Starter System:

All table workers and data will be upstairs in the clubhouse. Please take the stairs from the pool deck up. Timers remain in place while the ref and starter will switch to the other end for those races. We have two starter systems, please bring one as a back-up just in case.

Miscellaneous:

Please let us know if you have any special needs swimmers or families, and we will do our best to accommodate. There is one handicap parking space in front of the clubhouse. If you have more families who require a spot, let us know, and we will reserve additional spots at the most accessible locations. Time permitting, let us know the pronunciations for any tricky names for the announcer and whether you would like an announcement about a lunch stop for your team after the meet. The Team reps and announcer will be located directly in front of the visiting team area.

Team Lunch Recommendations:

The Tysons Corner area has many great options for team lunches. The Pike 7 Plaza has numerous options open for teams that do not need a reservation, including a Cava, Panera Bread, and Shake Shack. Alternatively, there is a Hibachi restaurant called ‘Sakura’ (opens at 12 on Saturdays) and an Ingle Korean Steakhouse (opens at 11 on Saturdays), both of which suggest calling ahead before large parties arrive.

In other plazas, there is a conjoined Chipotle and Chick-fil-A with connected outdoor seating if you’re looking for a fast option (8461 Leesburg Pike, Vienna, VA 22182). There is also a Patsy’s American, a little further up the road at 8051 Leesburg Pike, Vienna, VA 22182.

In Tysons Galleria (2001 International Dr, McLean, VA 22102), there are plenty of sit-down dining options, including a Yard House (recommended to call ahead).

Lastly, the Tysons Silver Diner has often hosted the Hamlet team after many events and does not require a call ahead for large parties. It is located at 8101 Fletcher St, McLean, VA 22102.
